Privacy Policy

Last updated June 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how CodeDevForge ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use codedevforge.com and its developer tools. We design the site to be useful without collecting more data than we need.

1. Tool data and browser-side processing

Many CodeDevForge tools run directly in your browser. For those tools, the code, JSON, SQL, config files, text, or other content you paste is processed locally and is not stored by us. If a tool needs server processing, the page or action should make that clear.

Server-side tools may temporarily process submitted content only to provide the requested result, enforce rate limits, prevent abuse, or debug errors.

2. Analytics data we collect

We collect privacy-conscious analytics so we can understand which tools are useful, improve page quality, fix errors, and prioritize new features. Depending on your consent choices and browser settings, analytics may include:

  • Page views and tool page visits.
  • Tool usage events, such as run, copy, download, click, error, and time-spent events.
  • Browser name and device type.
  • Country code derived from infrastructure headers, when available.
  • Approximate time spent on a tool page.
  • Referrer URL, such as the page that linked you to CodeDevForge.

We avoid permanently storing full IP addresses for analytics. Analytics events store anonymized or reduced IP information only where needed for abuse prevention, diagnostics, and aggregate reporting. Rate limiting may use a one-way IP fingerprint so guest limits work without keeping the raw IP address in the rate-limit table.

3. Data we avoid storing permanently

We intentionally avoid permanently storing the following for anonymous visitors:

  • Full IP addresses in analytics records.
  • Email addresses, unless you create an account or contact us.
  • Personal identifiers unrelated to operating the site.
  • Tool input content from browser-only tools.

4. Cookies and local storage

CodeDevForge uses cookies and local storage for a few purposes:

  • Essential: session, security, CSRF protection, login state, and rate-limit safety.
  • Preferences: theme preference, such as light or dark mode.
  • Analytics: anonymous visitor keys and usage events, only after consent where required.
  • Advertising: Google AdSense and advertising partners may use cookies after consent where required.

Visitors are shown a cookie consent notice. You can accept or reject non-essential analytics and advertising storage. If you reject, essential cookies may still be used to keep the site secure and functional.

5. Google AdSense and third-party advertising

CodeDevForge may display ads served by Google AdSense or other third-party advertising providers. These providers may use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies to serve ads, limit repeated ads, measure ad performance, and help prevent fraud.

  • Google may use advertising cookies to serve ads based on your visit to CodeDevForge or other websites.
  • You can learn how Google uses data at Google's partner sites policy.
  • You can control personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings.
  • Where required, we ask for consent before loading third-party advertising scripts.

6. How we use information

  • To operate tools and provide requested results.
  • To measure page views, tool usage, errors, referrers, and time spent.
  • To understand browser and device compatibility.
  • To enforce rate limits and protect the site from abuse.
  • To improve content quality, tool prioritization, and user experience.
  • To display and manage advertising where enabled.

7. Data sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with:

  • Hosting, infrastructure, analytics, and security providers that help us operate the site.
  • Google AdSense or other advertising partners when ads are enabled and consent allows it.
  • Authorities or legal parties if required by law or necessary to protect the site and users.

8. Data retention

Analytics and usage records are kept only as long as useful for product improvement, security, and reporting. Server logs and rate-limit records may be kept for abuse prevention and operational safety. Account data is kept while the account exists. Support emails are kept as long as needed to respond and maintain a support history.

9. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent for non-essential cookies through your browser storage settings by removing the cdf_cookie_consent local storage value.

To make a privacy request, contact us at privacy@codedevforge.com.

10. Children's privacy

CodeDevForge is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as tools, analytics, advertising, or legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date on this page reflects the latest version.
