About

Built by developers, for developers

Last updated August 29, 2026

CodeDevForge is a free collection of focused utilities for people who ship software — backend engineers, integration developers, catalog managers, and students learning Java, SQL, or JSON in practice. Every tool is designed to solve one real problem quickly: validate a GTIN list before a marketplace upload, test a JSONPath against an API response, diff two YAML configs, or run a Java snippet without opening an IDE.

What makes this site different

Most “online tool” directories repackage the same Base64 and hash generators with a single sentence of description. We invest in original explanatory content — worked examples, GS1 check-digit walkthroughs, JSONPath syntax guides, and FAQs — so each page teaches something useful even before you click Run. Our GS1 and barcode tools (GTIN calculator, label repair, GS1-128 parser, Digital Link generator, ISBN converter) serve retail and logistics workflows that generic dev-tool sites ignore.

What we build

  • JSON & data tools — formatter, repair, JSONPath finder, schema validator, CSV export.
  • GS1 & barcode utilities — bulk check-digit calculation, smudged GTIN recovery, GS1-128 AI decoder, Digital Link URIs, ISBN conversion.
  • Spring Boot & config — Config Studio (diff, convert, profile splitter, DevOps snippets), properties validator, entity and controller scaffolds.
  • Playgrounds — SQL, Python, and Java sandboxes for one-off experiments.
  • Everyday utilities — diff checker, regex tester, cURL converter, HTTP status reference.

How we run it

The site is a Laravel application with most processing done client-side in JavaScript so your inputs stay on your device whenever possible. Server-side tools (Java playground, Python runner) are clearly marked and run in isolated environments with strict timeouts.

We collect privacy-conscious analytics — page views, tool usage success/failure, browser type — to prioritize fixes and new features. We do not sell personal data. See our Privacy Policy for cookies, AdSense, and your rights.

Who builds it

CodeDevForge is maintained by Amit and a small group of software engineers with day-to-day experience in Java backends, Spring Boot services, SQL data work, and catalog integrations. The site grew out of repeated “I wish there were a simple tool for this” moments during real projects — cleaning GTIN spreadsheets, debugging JSON API payloads, splitting Spring profiles before a release — not from a content-farm checklist.

We add tools when we hit the same pain twice, write the guide we wished existed, and keep the UI fast and honest about what runs locally vs on the server.

How we keep it free

Hosting is supported by non-intrusive advertising through Google AdSense and, in the future, optional Pro features for teams that need higher limits or private histories. The core tools remain free with no signup wall.
